What’s underneath the pavers matters just as much as the finished surface. Our method combines site-appropriate excavation, a base compacted in layers, thoughtful water management and careful installation.
Our method, step by step
- 1. Excavation — depth suited to the use: a vehicular driveway has different needs than a patio
- 2. Base and compaction — crushed stone placed and compacted in successive layers, with slope planned around the site to carry water away from buildings
- 3. Bedding and alignment — levelled bedding course, string-line placement, saw cuts, anchored edging
- 4. Finishing — polymeric sand, final compaction, full site cleanup
Why layer-by-layer compaction?
A base installed in one thick lift and inadequately compacted can contribute to settlement. Layer-by-layer compaction helps create more consistent density throughout the base: it takes longer, and it’s what makes the difference.
Drainage plays an important role in long-term performance
Water trapped under a surface freezes, pushes and shifts. Every project is designed so water moves away: surface slope planned around the site, base permeability and, where conditions demand it, capture solutions.

What warranty covers a new installation?
The 3-year warranty applies to complete installations built with a new foundation. It’s the only configuration where we control every layer — so it’s the only one we guarantee.
What materials do you use?
Materials are selected according to the project type, expected use, site conditions and manufacturer requirements. The specific products are listed in the estimate.
